Houses

Within the Maroubra Junction Uniting Church Community are smaller student groups or communities based in houses both on the church property and in the surrounding area. Corio House was built by congregation members from Maroubra Junction, Randwick and Maroubra Bay Uniting Churches and is situated within the church grounds at Maroubra Junction. Corio House offically opened in 1997 and has been a highly valued part of the MJ Community since. Other student houses in the local area have included Tzadok and Maozim. These communities grew from congregation members seeking a deeper, more challenging and resident-driven sense of community. They reflect the legacy of an earlier, intentionally christian community at Siloam House.
